April 2019: Maxie M.
Congrats to Maxie on being our April Athlete of the Month! Maxie has been with us for over 3 years. She has done both our Olympic Weightlifting program and our CrossFit classes. This has lead her to become one of our strongest members. Which is also a testament to her hard work and dedication.
Outside of her strength, she is also one of our most supporting and caring members. You can always find her cheering on others through a workout. She has also put a big emphasis on her nutrition lately by signing up for our 6 week challenge and is making great strides in learning how to fuel her body properly.

How long have you been a member and how long have you been doing CrossFit?
Maxie: 3.5 yrs and 3.5 yrs.
What is your favorite thing about the gym?
Maxie: The community and friendly competitive drive.
What is the biggest challenge you have overcome since joining the gym?
Maxie: Getting stuck in my head. Still working on it actually. Also anything gymnastical, before starting Crossfit I couldn’t even hang from the bar.
What is your favorite moment at the gym so far?
Maxie: I really liked the team aspect of the open this year.
What's your favorite "cheat" food?
What would you say to someone who is thinking about starting?
Maxie: Do it! Dive right in head first, but also go at your own pace. Assume you can.
What drives you?
Maxie: My health. I’d like to live to be 100 and still do the things then that I enjoy doing now.
What is you biggest fitness goal right now?
Maxie: Eating bettterrrrr. Also gymnastical stuff- pull ups, t2b, etc.
